I am linking up with Carissa here

{bad habbit}
I have got into a bad routine of not posting as much as I used to. Maybe it's because I haven't had as much to talk about. I'm going to try my best to start writting at least a couple of times a week.

{reading frenzy}
Friday I bought a book that I didnt realize ever existed until I came across it online. Most of you know that at one point I was addicted to The Sex and the City series. So when I ran across The Carrie Diaries, I knew that I had to get it. I started reading it Saturday morning and I finished it around midnight. It was wonderful and I can't wait to sink my mind into the next book- Summer and the City.

{over}
Basketball season is FINALLY over for the girls. It was sad to see it end, but glad to see it over. Dallas did great for her first year and Steph learned so much considering we took last year off. Of course, on the last game Steph got to shoot her very first free throw points EVER!! Of course after I realized what happened, I cried just beacuse I was so proud of her. She has a good way to go this next year in order to make the JV team for 7th grade, but I know with her determination, she will accomplish what she sets her mind to.

{report cards}
The girls brought report cards home a couple of weeks ago. Dallas made a 100, a 99, and a 98. Steph made all B's. She was so excited about it that she could barely hold in her excitement. Of course I can't blame her. This was the FIRST time since 2nd grade that she made honor on the first 2 report cards of the year. She has got an amazing teacher who has helped her so much. So, with all the hard work of basketball season and in academics, she will be getting the ipod touch that she has been asking for what seems forever now. They will be getting a pair of TOMS thrown in with their good rewards. For one reason, because I want myself a pair and so do they.

{young authors confrence}
Dallas got to attend the Young Authors Confrence when she was in Kindergarten. So she was okay with not getting to go last year and knew she wasn't going to get asked just because the elementary teachers want to give other students a chance to go. Well, last week Dallas came home and said she got asked to go because another child didn't want to go. That same day, Steph came home saying that she got invited to go as well. This is her first year for her to go. And this child is an AMAZING artist and writter. I'm starting to think that 5th grade is HER year. Now we are praying and hoping that she will get inducted to the Junior National Honor Society. We'll see though.

Happy Monday!

1. These sneaky little elves have been lazy for about the past week until last night. They rolled the Christmas tree! At least they didn't throw under garments on it like some others have done.

2.The girls was part of a wedding this weekend. Steph was keeping the guest book and Dallas was the flower girl.

It's not much, but it's all I got for this week. Happy Monday!

a few days behind

I have gotten behind the past few days on what I am thankful for...Luckily I have managed to write them down so I wouldn't forget what I am thankful for on that specific day..

Nov.2- I am thankful for God's promise(s). The promise that he will never leave us and love us unconditionally. The promise that if we accept him in our lifes and we live our life for him, that we have heavenly home waiting for us when our battle here on Earth is over.

Nov.3- Today I am thankful for the BEST parents God could have given me! They listen to me whine and cry, fuss and holler..and everything else that I have ever done. They still take care of me and my kids more than they should...I am so blessed!!

{Today} Nov.4- Today I am thankful for my sweet and amazing kids. They never seize to amaze me. Take for instance; on the way to school this morning, Dallas asked me if tomorrow is the Iron Bowl. I told her no that it wasn't and then asked her why she thought that...She said, because people are going all crazy about the game for tomorrow..With that, Steph filled her in as to why it was such a BIG game. I hve a feeling Steph might just end up working for ESPN one day!

So anyone who is anyone in the south shou;d and better know that Bama is playing LSU tomorrow...All I want to say about that is-----ROLL TIDE!!!!

Nov. 1

Today I am thankful for such an AMAZING husband. He provides for our family and works very hard to provide. He may not have a job that requires a college degree, but he does what he loves! God has blessed me with him and I sometimes like to think that he blessed him with me :) He also has stepped up over the past 9 years and been "daddy" to Steph.

Here is some of my favorite pictures of us through out the years.

Flying By

This year has flown by SO fast! It seems like every year goes by faster the older I get. We haven't done much for Halloween this year..I have tried to go all homemade with costumes the past 2 years, and it's worked well with the girls, but not so muc Kent. So we had to go buy him a costume. He was set on being Simba from Lion King. The rack that the costume was on showed it being over $20, but when the cashier rang it up, is was only $9 something!! I was very pleased with that. Dallas is a flapper..We are using Steph's dance costume from last years dance recital from the pageant. Steph is a dirty clothes basket.

Yesterday we went to Kent's daycare for the festival going on there. He had a blast since he hadn't go to see all his friends in over a month{since I quit working}. Then after we left there, we hit up old main street in Oneonta. The businesses was handing out candy. They had the road closed for this so it was ensured that no one gets ran over or dangered in any other way.

Report cards came home Friday. Dallas did great as usual and Steph made honor roll on the first report, for the first time since 2nd grade!! I am SO proud of both of them.

I am spending this beautiful Sunday stuck at home sick. I started losing my voice the other night at the girls basketball practice and then yesterday I started the coughing and all the other yuck that is known to go with it.

I didn't get any other pictures from the other days. This is also the same week that Steph had her first big kid dance at school. It was a night time dance. She was excited about it and of course I cried. Just take a look below....

I am one proud Momma!

Homecoming week-Day 1

It's homecoming week again at SHS! Today's theme is mismatch--I went low key but I felt I could have gone a little more "tacky" with Steph. Anyways, enjoy the pictures!
